Likely public release for ‘Sheeple’ with impressive honors in tow from Fajr fest has been announced in September.
The producer of Houman Seyyedi’s new flick, Saeed Sa'di, told local media that ‘Sheeple’ is likely to be screened some time in September, noting, however, that the exact date of release is yet to be specified.
The title besides sweeping 11 noms at the 36 edition of Fajr Film Festival scooped up awards such as Crystal Simorgh for Best Sound Mixing and Crystal Simorgh for Audience Favorite Film.
With these honors in tow, it is hoped the flick will be one of Iran box-office hits.
‘Sheeple’ is crime drama about a drug-dealing family led by actor Navid Mohammadzadeh, who has found his way into a number of notable films of late, including ‘No Date, No Signature’.
